FISH FARM AIMS and OBJECTIVES.

  • Aims and objectives: Mitigate youth unemployment, poverty alleviation and wealth creation.
  • Location: Koni Kablu, Ningo Prampram District in the Greater Accra Region, Ghana.
  • The Construction:
    1. Phase I – To construct 3no. tarpaulin surface ponds with the capacity to hold 1,000 fishes each.
    2. Construction of a 2BR self-contained container farmhouse (including storage).
    3. Entire 2 acre land has been secured with the construction of sandcrete blocks fence wall.
  • Fish: We have chosen the African Catfish (Clarias gariepinus) for its exceptional taste and hardy resistance to disease and parasites which makes it very profitable.
  • Energy And Water Supply: Reliable energy and fresh water supply is a sine qua non for the successful running of a fish farm. Tetnight Young Farmers is establish in a location with reliable electricity and will invest in water pumps and the sinking of boreholes to guarantee a constant flow of fresh water.
  • Sales, Distribution: Our target audience would be large shopping malls and supermarkets, cold stores, small and medium scale fish processing companies. we would also undertake direct sales to homes in the communities and to individual workers at their various workplaces.
  • Future of Company: There is a very high demand for fresh and processed fish on the local market as well as for export. In response to this climate, we will expand our operations to include processed varieties like smoked, canned, fish fillet etc, to serve the local market and for export.

Our goal is to build a strong brand that will guarantee the best quality at the most competitive price.
